Surprise hit sitcom about a former football star returning to his quaint American hometown and coming across all sorts of small burg goofballs. Burt Reynolds delivers a strong performance, and he’s capably flanked by the likes of Hal Holbrook, Marilu Henner, Charles Durning, Ossie Davis, and Michael Jeter. Well-admired by a small fan base, and one of the more quaint comedies to hit American airwaves in several seasons.
