Equal (2020)

Equal (2020) is an HBO Max TV documentary that follows the gay movement and all of its seasons from pre-Stonewall to after the 60s and 70s, through the 1980s and all the way up to today. This is a series that brings together several of the leading gay actors and creators in modern Hollywood who go back through history and retell the fight to be treated equally. Amen! This documentary follows surprising gay characters throughout history and the untold stories of early activists and heroes whose stories have gone ignored or little-heard as the years continue to go by. This story is exciting and a must-watch for all history buffs and anyone who is interested in learning more about the gay rights movement (movements, really) that stretch far beyond the Stonewall riots. Go beyond your history books and enjoy some stories that you have likely never heard before. While this series is pretty male-focused, there are definitely lovely lesbians in history that are highlights of strong women in history. There is also one hot lesbian smooch to enjoy in a recreation. Shannon Purser plays Del Martin and Heather Matarazzo plays Phyllis Lyon. The pair kiss while dressed in their period clothing, giving us equal opportunity to really enjoy these two fully grown, older women express their passion for each other. Sadly, the lesbian lovers do not take off their clothes. This is a fully-clothed smooch, but the tease is good enough for us to enjoy. All girl-on-girl kisses are equally hot!
