She reads, she plays sports, she rides a motorcycle. She’s Edy Ganem, and she’s an actress we’d like to get to know a little bit more about. Shall we? The brunette starlet is of Lebanese and Mexican heritage, she was born in Modesto but moved around a lot as a kid, and she grew up in various cities in Mexico, as well as Barcelona, Spain, and San Diego. It’s in California where she decided acting was her future, so she shorted her name from Edurne Ganem Gaxiola to Edy Ganem, and hit the indie film audition circuit. The 5’6” stunner also made the rounds of primetime series, include bit parts on Life, Love, & Hollywood; It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia; CSI: Crime Scene Investigation; and Entourage. She played a cheerleader in Fired Up! (2009) with Eric Christian Olsen and Molly Sims, Dolores in Black Limousine (2010) with David Arquette and Bijou Phillips, and Isabelle in the movie Like Crazy (2011) with Felicity Jones and Jennifer Lawrence. Then the spicy sizzler landed a star turn as Valentina Diaz in Marc Cherry’s Lifetime series Devious Maids from 2013-2015, where she held her own in a sexy lingerie get-up, even with co-stars Roselyn Sanchez, Ana Ortiz, Judy Reyes, and Dania Ramirez. In 2017, she not only got bikini-hot on the beach in After the Wedding, but also took on the leading character of Sophie in Blood Heist (2017) with James Franco. She went back to primetime for the recurring role of Sofia in The Neighborhood from 2019-2020, then flipped back to the big screen to play The Daughter in Charlie Day’s El Tonto (2022) with Jason Sudeikis and Kate Beckinsale.
