NBC puts a sexy (but not too sexy, this is network TV), sumptuous Gothic spin on Bram Stoker's classic novel in Dracula (2013-). The Tudors' Jonathan Rhys-Myers stars as the Count, reimagined as an American corporate tycoon looking to (quite literally) take a bite out of Victorian London's high society scene. A few things have changed from earlier interpretations of the story--for example, here Dracula and Van Helsing (Thomas Kretschmann) are pals rather than mortal enemies--but the beating, bleeding heart of the story remains the same. Any freshman English major can tell you that vampire stories are all about sex, and Irish blonde Victoria Smurfit obliges with a nip slip in the fourth episode. Just call me Count Whackula!
