Dempsey & Makepeace

Predictable yet somehow still entertaining British detective series focuses on officer James Dempsey (Michael Brandon), a recalcitrant fellow who grows weary of his position after the accidental death of his partner. Glynis Barber is his new partner, a tough-as-nails lady cop who (not surprisingly) take shit from no one. Only lasted two seasons, though it’s not a bad little show.
