Debbie Nassar will dazzle you, which is maybe why that’s the character name she plays in her debut, Stripped to Kill (1987). This is a movie from a time when everyone was stripping. They were stripping to commute, do the laundry, cook dinner. It was a different time, a better time, and Debbie was right there in the thick of it, wigged out and topless in a thong that she displays while prancing on the stage with a pole in it (another trend of the era). Such a good dancer she was that it landed her a role as La Donna in Dance of the Damned (1989), her second and last appearance on film. Maybe she shouldn’t have taken the role that damned her to obscurity. Hopefully she’s stripped to retire.
