Curse of the Mayans (2017)

Curse of the Mayans (2017) is a horror and sci-fi film from director Joaquin Rodriguez about an American archeologist who leads a team of cave divers to search for ancient Mayan artifacts and records that might be buried in deep sea caves. Expert diver Danielle Noble and her crew of divers are taken with the archeologist for the journey and she has a genuine interest in ancient history and legends. The archeologist believes that this will be the biggest discovery of all time and it turns out that he was right. They go into the jungles south of the Yucatan and dive into the underwater caves of Xibalba. What are they looking for? The lost library of the Mayans is supposed to contain thousands of codexes and other texts that give all of the answers of the Mayans. Is it really there...or is there something far more sinister that lays in the caves? Of course, it's the second thing!
