Babylon 5

Let’s call this UN in Space and make it easy. It’s way off in the future (2258 to be precise), the planets are all at each other’s throats and the Babylon 5 is a big ass spaceship in neutral territory that’s trying to keep the peace. Yeah yeah, I know, geeky sci-fi Spock ears types will eat this up with a spoon but we’re all too good for that, right? Well bollocks, this is actually a really smart, well-written show with a lot more relevance to the current time than any of that Star Trek misery. Added to that, Claudia Christian, Mira Furlan, Julia Nickson-Soul, Tracy Scoggins, Patricia Tallman and Andrea Thompson all appear in the thing – imagine them naked, entwined around each other with you in the middle. See? Now suddenly it’s a cool show…
