Elfin gamine Audrey Tautou first came to the notice of American males when they accompanied their girlfriends to the arthouse sensation Amelie (2001). The guys wondered, "Who is this equivalent of Audrey Hepburn on a honey croissant? Will she ever be seen with her boobies, which are undoubtedly savory, and her buns, which assuredly are taut and toothsome, exposed to the leer of the lens?" A bit of back-tracking is all that is necessary to clear up these questions. Big-eyed Audrey's shockingly bountiful boobles bounce during a bathtub soak in Le Boiteux (1999), but the real Tautou sugar high hits in Le Libertin (2000). The savories up front, the taut and toothsome behind--they are every speck as delectable as our hopes and imaginations could have conspired. Since then Audrey has hit multiplexes worldwide with The Da Vinci Code (2006), so hopefully it won't be long until the American spotlight focuses its rays on Audrey's high beams.
