Talk about a career with a lot of twists and turns! Chicago-born babe April was an aspiring singer who’s life was forever changed the day she was introduced to hip hop artist Omarion. She became one of his backup singers, and their relationship gradually went from professional to friendly to romantic over the years. In 2014, the two became reality television stars with the VH1 series Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, chronicling their ups and downs revolving around Apryl’s pregnancy, their eventual breakup, and her later involvement with one of his former bandmates. In 2023, she added executive producer to her resume with her rom com The Comeback opposite Taye Diggs.
