“I’d say it was the most challenging job to date,” Anna Frieltold Independent. “We shot the whole thing in 38 days with no rehearsal and the sexuality of it all... I knew exactly what was in it... there was going to be no preciousness."
For those who haven't yet seen season 2 of The Girlfriend Experience, Anna plays Erica Myles, a fundraiser for a Republican super PAC living in Washington DC. After hiring high-class sex worker Anna (played by Louisa Krause) to blackmaila colleague- and the two endupfalling in love. Orlust, at least. Much likethe first season's Christine, the relationshipsin this show are sterile andpower-grabbing.
"It was more about the power dynamics of submission and dominance rather than the explicitness of the sex,”Anna continues.Her character Erica's ex-girlfriend (Narges Rashidi) does some hot and heavy sex scenes with her too, as a dominant, while Erica takes more of that role with Louisa's Anna.
The show is chock full of incredible nudity andsteamy sex scenes, but watch out - they're just as icy cold as they are hot. We can see why this job was particularly challenging. Luckily, it's also pretty damn rewarding for all of us.
