Anikulapo (2022)

An epic Nollywood film described as “Game of Thrones recreated in Nigeria”, its story touches on the Yoruba myth about a bird that can wake people from the dead, except this follows a textile weaver named Saro. He has a forbidden affair with a young queen who’s unhappily married to a much older king, but when the two try to elope, they are discovered and Saro is sentenced to death. That is, until he magically gains the power of resurrection and becomes very popular, so much in fact that he takes it too far and ends up losing his gift. Typical. But what’s not common are star Bimbo Ademoye’s giant gazongas! We got excited that the celebrated Nigerian actress was finally showing her beautiful boobage on screen, but the movie’s makeup artist, Hakeem Effect, would later come out to reveal they were prosthetics. It's still pretty ballsy for Bimbo considering how nudity is forbidden by the National Film and Video Censors Board of Nigeria! And we gotta say, they look mam-nificent! Saro’s not the only one making things rise!
