Oshima (2010)

A girl tells the story of her father’s mysterious disappearance in Oshima (2010). Oshima (Yuki Iwamoto) is traveling to Germany on business, but when he arrives he is clearly out of sorts, possibly from the depression medication he has been taking. He somehow manages to stumble to meet his contact Herr Kleinschmidt (Devid Striesow), and his interpreter, Frau Izumi (Nina Fog).  Izumi is drawn to the mysterious Oshima and wants to help the obviously disheveled man, but is he really who he says he is? Interpreter Nina Fog teaches us the language of love when she takes out her titlets to stroll around a hotel room. Some things translate perfectly into any language!
