Viki Ficki (2010)

German director Natalie Spinell’s 2010 short film Viki Ficki focuses on an 11 year-old girl named Viki (Lisa Vicari) who must undergo the mortifying task of bringing her porn star mother to middle school career day. Viki’s is a charming tale that highlights the comedic aspects of her adversity—like beating up a classmate that dares poke fun. Despite the fact that Viki’s mother's profession limits her number of friends, their bond is clearly stronger than any. Naturally, the short also includes a segment of Viki’s mom working hard (like, really hard) in a nurse themed stag movie. Viki Ficki received the Short Film Audience Award at the Cambridge Film Festival and serves as a touching (in more ways that one) reminder that porn stars are people too!
