Melancholia (2011) is a critically beloved, but ultra-depressing flick from Danish provocateur Lars von Trier, which never got the recognition it deserved thanks to Lars going on a weird rant about how much he admires Hitler during a press conference at Cannes. Yikes. Kirsten Dunst stars as Justine, a bride celebrating her wedding to Michael (Alexander Skarsgard) at the palatial country estate of her sister Claire (Charlotte Gainsbourg) and brother-in-law John (Kiefer Sutherland). As the supposedly happy day wears on, it becomes clear that Justine suffers from a crippling depression that is tearing the family apart. Meanwhile, a mysterious red star is growing brighter and brighter in the sky, which is eventually revealed to be a planet called Melancholia. While her hubby briefly blames her behavior on the planet, eventually it becomes clear that Melancholia's going to collide with Earth and destroy all life on the third rock from the sun. But when you're already that depressed, will you care, or even notice that everyone's about to die? As long as there are new ladies showing their melons, you won't see anyone all that melancholy around the offices of Skin Central. So, you don't have to be glum watching this one since while Justine's got the blues, she doesn't leave us with blue balls! Fresh off of her nude debut in All Good Things (2010), Kirsten flashes full frontal for a faraway scene lying nude on a rock while she sunbathes in the light of the killer planet. Nice globes! Then, she bares her surprisingly full moons while bending over a bathtub. It’s the end of the world as we know it- but as long as Kirsten’s naked, Mr. Skin feels fine!
