When was S.O.B. was released, Julie Andrews was definitely thought of as a prim and proper musical movie actress. That's why it was so striking that the G-rated actress went fully R-rated in this sex comedy directed by herhusband Blake Edwards. Edwards actually wrote and directed this movie that is about an aging director who takes a G-rated comedy script and makes it raunchy. Huh, sort of sounds like that's just what happened!
Her role in S.O.B. was definitely shocking and mamorable, but Mary Poppins popped out of her top before this. She very briefly bore boob when she played a dancer in 1970's Darling Lili. As she danced offstage, she tore away her top and showed the crowd her left breast before she disappeared behind the stage curtain. This little boobcameo was certainly risque for Julie who was clearly flirting with spicing up her image. Interestingly enough, this movie was also directed by her husband. Hubby was trying to get Julie to show off that rack that he so enjoyed!
