Our Staff Picks column takes you back to a time when video stores reigned supreme and the "Staff Picks" section was the place to find out what films were worthy of one's time. Of course, our version of Staff Picks has a decidedly skintillating angle, as we suss out which films from a certain genre or year with great nudity. This week: sitcoms!
Sitcoms do not usually have explicit nudity because they are being shown on network TV. That being said, some have plenty of sexy scenes. These sitcoms are funny AND they are fan favorites because of how sexy the stars are. Here are our Staff Picks for sitcoms:
Cheers
We have to give props to one of the classics: Cheers! Cheers is still funny on a rewatch and it's just a classic sitcom from front to back. This is the bar where everyone knows your name and everyone has a great character to laugh at. Shelley Long had people growing long in their pants as Diane Chambers. In one episode, Shelley gets super sexy in some lingerie:
The Big Bang Theory
This was one of the most popular sitcoms in the last decade. This goofy CBS comedy focuses on a couple of nerds as they fumble their way through trying to meet and date real-live girls. One of those girls is the hottest blonde that modern television has ever seen: Kaley Cuoco. Kaley Cuoco was the standout as the stunning blonde next door, Penny. She is funny, flirty, and she knows how to fill out a top.
Parks and Recreation
Amy Poehler and Rashida Jones stole the show in this mockumentary-style comedy about municipal government in small-town Indiana, but one guest star was always a fan favorite. While there was clearly no nudity on the show, we did get a classic blurred nude scene! Megan Mullally plays the sex-crazed ex-wife of Ron Swanson and no one is immune to her sexual wiles. She plays a hot librarian whose sexual powers are so strong that no man can resist them. How could anyone resist Megan Mullally when she gets totally undressed?
30 Rock
30 Rock is hands-down one of the funniest shows in the 2000s. Tina Fey brought us Liz Lemon, a TV writer for a late-night sketch comedy show who tries to wrangle her actors and writers while also dealing with the network and her boss Jack Doneghy. Tina was cute in her bra on the show as was Jane Krakowski, the blonde babe we all fell in love with for her talent and her cleavage.
There were a lot of famous women on the show, too. Julianne Moore and Salma Hayek both played love interests for Jack and both of them showed ample amounts of cleavage.
Laverne Shirley
This classic comedy showed us the true meaning of friendship with two funny broads from Milwaukee. This Happy Days spinoff was even funnier than anything the Fonz ever gave us. It felt like watching Lucy and Ethel all over again! There was one episode that you may have forgotten - who am I kidding? You can't possibly forget Shirley aka Cindy Williams doing a sexy dance number in black fishnets.
Community
Remember when Community,Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, and The Office were all on TV at the same time? Those were the glory days, my friend! Community is still one of my personal favorite sitcoms as it focuses on a study group at a community college filled with misfits trying to get their associate's degrees.
Community had two super hot babes that showed massive cleavage: Alison Brie and Gillian Jacobs. Funny, charming, and sexy? It's crazy that they were both on the same show.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Finally, let's talk about this outrageous comedy. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is one of the longest-running comedy shows in history and that is due to the unapologetic antics that the gang gets into. The premise of the show is simple: a group of friends tries to run a bar with the help of Denis and Dee's shady father Frank. The gang also attracts a lot of hot girls!
Charlie Day is obsessed with his real-life wife, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, on the show who plays a waitress that barely knows him, but sometimes he has fun with other women like Natasha Alam.
