Artists love the human form and so do we! With Johnny Depp set to helm a film about Italian painter/sculptor Amedeo Modigliani, we’re taking a look back at artist biopics featuring some absolutely priceless nude scenes.
In the 1988 film Camille Claudel, we see Rodin (Gerard Depardieu) moving a naked (and flexible!) Hester Wilcox into a very tantalizing pose. Even the famous sculptor can’t seem to do her shapely curves justice.

We’re always warm for the form of steadily nude superstar Alicia Vikander, but especially in The Danish Girlwhere she plays the wife of transgender artist Lili Elbe. Alicia definitely has baring it all for the camera down to art.

Natascha McElhone joined the all or nothing club with her very first nude scene in Surviving Picasso, where she strips down for Anthony Hopkins as the titular artist. He’ll paint a canvas but Natasha has us painting the ceiling!

French actress Yolande Moreau starred in a film about self-taught painter Seraphine de Senlis, giving us a nice peek at her left breast while bathing naked in a river.

The film Frida doesn’t skimp on the nudity in its examination of the life of the famous Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. It’s hard to single one out, but we have to go with Frida portrayer herself Salma Hayek and her colossal paint cans, although the entire bevy of naked beauties here will have you giving your own paintbrush more than a few strokes.
