The 2026 Cannes Film Festival has officially wrapped in the south of France, ending with its annual awards ceremony to celebrate the standouts of the competition. We couldn’t help but notice a trend among the big winners, and of course, that trend is nudity! We start with Virginie Efira, who was named Best Actress alongside her co-star Tao Okamoto in All of a Sudden. Virginie is a Belgian babe with ten terrific nude roles to her name and a history of baring all three Bs, like she did in the 2021 Paul Verhoeven period piece about lesbian nuns, Benedetta.

There was a tie for Best Director between Los Javis, who helmed The Black Ball, and Pawel Pawlikowski, the man behind the drama Fatherland. Pawlikowski previously won Best Director at Cannes for his 2018 film Cold War, which featured a topless moment from one of our favorite busty beauties, Joanna Kulig.

The fest’s top award, the Palme d’Or, went to Fjord by Romanian filmmaker Cristian Mungiu. This is the second time he’s won this award, the first being in 2007 for 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days. That film is notorious for having both Anamaria Marinca and Laura Vasiliu Donald Ducking it on screen, aka wearing a shirt and no pants, thereby flashing bush (and butt in Anamaria’s case).
Fjord happens to star recent Oscar nominee Renate Reinsve, another past Cannes winner for her performance in The Worst Person in the World, which had Renate baring her breasts twice.
Fjord’s win also marks the seventh consecutive win for the film‘s North American distributor, Neon. Of the past six winning films, four had nudity, including the racy body horror Titane, famous for this moment where Agathe Rouselle has sex with a car...

…and Anora, which swept the Oscars in 2024 and saw Mikey Madison make her nude debut with ten stripped-down scenes as the titular exotic dancer/sex worker.

We can’t wait to see which of this year’s selections deliver the goods!
