Shortly after her debut in the Kenneth Branagh/Helena Bonham Carter blockbuster The Theory of Flight (She was “Checkout Girl.”) Nia scored a part on the hit British series Sunburn in 1999. The role apparently attracted enough attention for the young actress to garner a role in 1999’s Solomon and Gaenor, which was more or less a retelling of Romeo and Juliet, but in Wales at the turn of the century. There are plenty of hooters to be seen during the scene in question, but the movie itself is worth watching on its own merit, so check it out. Hopefully she’ll be pulling those itty-bitties out for American audiences before too long.
