Before working full-time as a performer, Mary Beth earned a living as a part of the world of venture capitalism. She was able to use that experience to write a parody article called "How Our Company is Completely Redefining an Industry and Disrupting the Disruptors" and thus began her career in comedy, which eventually led to gigs at the New York Comedy Fest, Netflix Comedy Festival, and the Edinburgh Fringe as well as appearances on Comedy Central Stand Up and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. As an actress, Mary Beth has had roles in the sci-fi series Black Mirror and the feature film The Disruptors, while also finding time to host podcasts and write for and host series like Good Sets (2016) and Drag His Ass (2021). In 2024, Mary Beth donned her executive producer hat for her first TV comedy special Thought Provoking, and for the thriller Sugar Baby, which also gave Mary Beth her first major starring role.
