Review

The 1998 sitcom Living in Captivity followed the lives of three couples from different ethnic and religious backgrounds, living together in a nondescript mixed suburb. It was the usual bit of “even though we are different, we can work to understand our differences and all live in harmony” claptrap, featuring a black couple, a mixed Latino/white couple, and a Jewish couple. Living in Captivity lasted exactly one month, at which point the creators of the show toyed with the idea of renaming it to Dying in Obscurity--but since the show was already off the air, they just decided to say “to hell with it.” The show did star noteworthy babe Mia Cottet, who tries to seduce Jackie Chan in her bra and panties in The Tuxedo (which also starred Jennifer Love Hewitt and her bouncing baby girls). Otherwise, the skin cross-reference ratio on this turkey is so low it’s practically not worth mentioning.
