This adaptation of the original Shōgun is the talk of the town - or at least the talk of Skin Central. We love this slick, action-packed limited series and its naked starlet whom we are now fully in love with. Let's get to know actress Yuka Kouri and her nudity!
Shōgun is an adaptation of the famous 1975 novel about feudal Japan. The plot follows an English sailor who was marooned and became a samurai in 1600s Japan. Cosmo Jarvis plays him as he becomes partners with Hiroyuki Sanada during a power struggle in the Japanese government following an important death. If all of this sounds familiar, it is because this was also adapted into a TV series in the 1980s and it was very critically acclaimed.
It's back and better than ever with more action and more skin than the original! That is partially due to actresses like Yuka Kouri who expand the world of the series by taking off her clothes and giving the series a skintillating opening episode.
Who exactly is this nudecomer? Yuka Kouri is a Japanese actress based in Tokyo who has been modeling for years. She started her career as a model and then ventured into commercial acting, making her a very recognizable face in Japan for selling numerous products. She does have the kind of face you can trust your band with - and the body that disarms any mistrust over Yuka's yumminess.
The 34-year-old actress started dipping her delicate toes into television when she starred in the 2017 TV series Aibou: Tokyo Detective Duo. She also appeared in the music video "Oboeteru" by Hannya as well as the 2023 thriller September 1923 which showed that Yuka Kouri has genuine acting talent that goes beyond her camera-ready good looks. That leads us to her role in Shōgun!
This tight-bodied Tokyo cutie plays an Izu courtesan named Kiku. She captures the coy sensuality and expertise of a Japanese courtesan perfectly.
