Faraway Downs (2023)

Director Baz Luhrmann turns his 2008 epic film Australia into a six part limited series, using footage from the film and deleted scenes paired with new Indigenous music to go more in depth into the film’s sprawling story. Nicole Kidman is the aristocratic Lady Sarah Ashley who arrives on the titular cattle ranch to confront its owner, her husband, who she’s hoping will grant her a divorce and sell the land. It turns out he’s dead and she’s been left the estate, but a budding relationship with a handsome cowhand named Drover (Hugh Jackman) leads her to strive to restore the ranch to its former glory. While Nicole’s known for nudity, she keeps it pretty PG, with her best bits artfully covered while she lets Hugh strip off her wet clothes and take her to bed. Add tot hat a few moments of sexy cleavage, and you’ve got a series that’ll stir up a little something Down Under!
