Brush Strokes

In typical British fashion, Jacko (Karl Howman) is a house painter whom the girls can’t seem to resist. Of course, he’s not much to look at and he certainly isn’t rich, but in the finest tradition of the Adventures of a Plumber’s Mate / Adventures of a Taxi Driver movies, his cockney accent and paint-splattered coveralls are all he needs. Except for maybe when the ratings dipped and he started finding a little long term love. A really funny show that could never have been achieved in the US (the networks would have totally sanitized it), Brush Strokes still holds up today as good TV.
