The Sting (1973) is a heartwarming and award-winning from the 1970s that is actually set in 1936. This forgotten classic was so well-loved that it was nominated for ten Academy Awards when it was released. It won seven, including Best Picture! This best picture winner gives us Depression Era humor with its stars Paul Newman and Robert Redford - directed by the great  George Roy Hill - about con men who try to pull off the biggest grift of their careers and then attempt to get away with it after a corrupt cop wants in on the action...or else. This film takes place in Joliet, Illinois, and then also runs away to Chicago for a big crime chase that is equal parts funny, endearing, and thrilling. See why The Sting won so many awards and deserves to be a classic today. We get a helping hand in that department from a sexy lady who gives us a striptease to die for. The sexy Sally Kirkland plays Crystal, a burlesque dancer with a body that she loves to shimmy and shake with. She does an entire enticing routine on stage in her long black fishnet stockings, red panties, and pasties. She does a little dance very professionally despite the fact that she is annoyed by some missing cues and Paul Newman showing up with flowers for her. She is a hot professional dancer who has work to do! Her long legs and pasties might make you sting in your pants - in a good way.
