Prolific Australian serial killer John Bunting and his browbeaten accomplices get their story dramatized in The Snowtown Murders (2011). Jamie (Lucas Pittaway) is a teen stuck in dire poverty; living with his single mother and being abused by her latest boyfriend. Things start to look up when John Bunting (Daniel Henshall) comes into town and starts insinuating himself as a role model and father figure.
