For two men from opposite sides of the world, Dan (Hugo Weaving) and Sebastian (Andrew Luri), their problems are larger than the average joe schmo's.  For famed and renowned war photographer Dan, he is seemingly at a crossroads in his life.  Does he settle down with his lovely wife and just rest on his laurels of showing his incredible and jarring photography at galleries all around Sydney or does he get back into the war zones of the world to keep doing what he does best, despite his partner, Josie (Hayley McElhinney), and her ongoing protests?  For Sebastian, a Sudanese refugee, he has spent his life escaping his roots in the war torn areas, only to replant them in the hustle and bustle of Australia's biggest city, where he drives a cab.  When he sees that Dan is going to display some pictures he's taken in Sudan at an art gallery, he soon sees a photo that he recognizes himself in and makes a desperate plea to the photographer to not show the images.  The two men soon form a new friendship and help each other out as they both realize they share a good deal of trauma from that particular period of time for each man and their experiences in Sudan.  That is until Dan starts to take a closer look at the pictures he snapped and realizes that there is a reason Sebastian might not want those photos shown in public and Dan soon realizes that he also shares some dark history during his time there too!  Lucky for us though, we get to see the ravishing Hayley McElhinney in the buff to offset the dramatic twists and turns in this Aussie indie flick, and she is definitely setting Hearts and Bones to flutter, if you catch our drift!
