Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me (2022)

Just over 30 years after Madonna: Truth Or Dare, director Alek Keshishian delivers another highly anticipated tour documentary about a famous singer. This time the focus is on former Disney star Selena Gomez, though the film concentrates more on her philanthropy and mental illness than her music or acting. My Mind & Me came into being because the director was hired to shoot a tour in 2016 that was ultimately canceled after 55 performances due to the stunning starlet’s battle with depression. The film highlights Selena’s issues with identity and the price of stardom, but it also reminds us that, in addition to a complex mind, this multitalented maven also has a bangin’ body. And we hope through it all that she remembers that too! But we applaud Selena for putting it all out there, and hope one she’ll do the same with her phenomenal figure!
