Elvis (2022)

The original rock star, teen idol and lady lover, the one and only Elvis! As this skinny kid from Mississippi with humble roots began listening to gospel and rhythm & blues around his family's home in Memphis, music became Elvis Presley's (Austin Butler) life.  He sang and played a little guitar, but the effect he had on the women in the crowd when he wiggled those hips was second to none!  It was also noticed mostly by one man, Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks), who saw a ticket to the big time in the music business on the back of the talented young man.  In this biopic about "The King of Rock and Roll", we not only follow the life of the legend himself, but also the exploitative nature of his manager, who made a fortune from him while directing every aspect of his career and personal life at times.  Baz Luhrmann takes the helm as director and his stylized take on Elvis' music, extravagant lifestyle, eccentricities, and at times tragic struggles with drug abuse and womanizing, gives you a glimpse at the icon from beginning to the all too early end.  Lucky for us, this biopic didn't shy away from showing Elvis' power over the ladies in his life, including hotel trysts with Elizabeth Cullen and Melina Vidler as young and old Elvis.  Also, the stunning Olivia DeJonge shows her pink panties while wearing a sheer teddy as Priscilla Presley, in a bedroom scene with her husband, The King.
