How does the son of Egyptian immigrants keep his family and himself happy when he is on such an existential spiritual journal in the middle of New Jersey?  Ramy follows, well, Ramy (Ramy Youssef) as he teeters between being a faith driven Muslim, who prays 5 times a day, finds a nice Egyptian girl to fall in love with and marry to make his family happy, while also being a modern millennial who is just looking to have a good time as part of the bridge & tunnel crowd in NYC?  He smokes too much herb, he sleeps with too many random girls, and he definitely jerks off too much!  He keeps a crew of misfit buddies, including his bestie who is in a wheelchair and thinks that life is a not as big of a struggle as he does but is in fact full of endless possibilities.  Ramy might be pushed and pulled between old faith, new faith, and being faithless in modern times, but he definitely still feels the ever present gaze of his God, who is ALWAYS watching him when he's breaking rules a bit.  Poor Ramy, hopefully he can keep his head on his shoulders even when he takes too many edibles and rides the back of his buddy's wheelchair...  Either way, he definitely dips his toe into the sinful side and we get to see him in action.  We also get to see the ever sexy Vanessa Cozart as a stripper giving him a lap dance that he's on the fence about.  Definitely tune in to this Golden Globe winner when you get a chance, it's hilarious and makes you think about how faith can affect anyone and everyone differently.
