The Horror of Dolores Roach (2023)

Based on the play and podcast by creator Aaron Mark, this eight-part series stars Justina Machado as the titular ex-con returning to a gentrified, unfamiliar Washington Heights, NYC. She is taken in by Luis Batista (Alejandro Hernandez), owner of the local empanada shop, and attempts to establish herself as a masseuse, but then an aggressive client gets handsy and kicks off a chain of events that leads to Dolores’s surprising transformation to grisly serial killer with a Sweeney Todd-esque flair. Scrubs alum Judy Reyes pops up in her bra for a massage (and to drop a truth bomb) while Justina spreads her thighs for a cunning linguist. All this skinful teasing and eating out will make you hungry for more!
