Palm Royale (2024-)

It’s Palm Beach in 1969 and Kristen Wiig is Maxine Simmons, a former Chattanooga pageant queen trying to shimmy her way into high society among Shiny Sheet specimens Allison Janney, Leslie Bibb, Claudia Ferri, and Julia Duffy. We first see her scaling the wall of the island’s fanciest social club in order to meet these ladies of the upper echelon, only to be ratted out by her waiter (Ricky Martin) and escorted off the premises. We then get dual glimpses of Kristen stopped down to her period undergarments, once before returning a dress to an out-of-commission Carol Burnett, and again while exercising inside her temporary “less than stellar accommodations” as she gets ready to make another attempt at securing her destiny. All the sexy, sun-kissed stars of Palm Royale are sure to keep your palms very busy!
