Operation Hyacinth (2021)

Based on actual events, the film Operation Hyacinth (2021) tells of the titular Polish Communist police plot between 1985 and 1987 to identify and keep tabs on all non-heterosexual people living in Poland, amassing a database that contained well over 10,000 names. The police would use blackmail tactics to pressure people on this list to either admit to crimes they hadn't committed or to out their fellow citizens. The film uses this information as a backdrop to a murder mystery as a serial killer has been targeting gay men in Warsaw and an ambitious young police lieutenant named  Robert (Tomasz Ziętek) who is assigned the case. He must go undercover, Cruising style, in the city's underground gay clubs in order to root out the killer and put a stop to his reign of terror. Of course, Robert is under an enormous amount of pressure to close the case as quickly as possible and his higher ups begin leaning on him to start adding more and more names to their registry of known gay men. With pressure mounting on all sides, it will be a wonder if Robert makes it out of this case even wanting to remain a cop, let alone with his sanity and dignity intact. To prove to himself that he's only masquerading as a gay man, Robert gets involved with the lovely Halinka (Adrianna Chlebicka), who bares her breasts for an extended sex scene with him, even staying topless after while she snaps pics of him! When it comes to Adrianna's role in Operation Hyacinth, it's probably a good idea to stop and smell the flowers!
