Night Swim (2024)

We start out in 1992 just outside of Minneapolis-St. Paul, where a young tween named Rebecca Summers is trying to retrieve her little brother’s toy boat from their pool when she’s inexplicably pulled underwater and drowns. Now in the present, the Waller family is about to move into Rebecca’s old house, which still has the pool although it looks like no one has touched it in ages. The dad Ray (Wyatt Russell) is a former third baseman for the Milwaukee Brewers, who was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and advised by his doctor to do more swimming, so he decides to buy the house, move his wife Eve (Kerry Condon) and their two kids Izzy (Amélie Hoeferle) and Elliot (Gavin Warren) in and fix up the pool. Much to everyone’s surprise, swimming in the pool actually does seem to be healing him, making Ray able to walk without a cane all of a sudden and even swing a bat again. But of course, there’s a price to pay for his newfound health, and in addition to the disappearance of the family cat, they start hearing spooky voices and getting attacked from beneath the pool’s surface. Kerry shows some cleavage while engaging in the titular activity as does bikini-wearing Amélie during a flirty game of Marco Polo with Elijah J. Roberts.
