Julie Delpy writes, directs, and stars in The Countess (2009), a treatment of the popular tale of Erzebet Bathory, a 16th-century Hungarian countess whose sadistic lesbian lust and obsession with beauty drove her to torture and kill hundreds of young virgins in her castle, supposedly to bathe in their blood. Amidst all the blood-soaked girl-girl action and historical drama, Julie also gets topless and shows off her melons.
