Lucifer Rising (1972)

Lucifer Rising (1972) is a short film by underground director Kenneth Anger. Set in ancient Egypt, the film tells the story of several Egyptian gods like Osiris (Donald Cammell), Lilith (Marianne Faithfull), and Isis (Myriam Gibril) who decide to summon Lucifer (Leslie Huggins), the fallen angel, in an attempt to bring forth a new age of the occult. Originally the film was to involve both Mick Jagger and Jimmy Page, but both left the project before it was completed, and a bizarre encounter with a member of the Manson family led the film to have to be reshot in its entirety! Far from an anomaly, the film is often fawned over by Anger fans, but we like it because Myriam Gibril bares her beautiful breasts while taking part in the summoning ceremony!
