Today we want to put the Throwback Thursday spotlight on an Italian vixen who had curves for days. Gina Lollobrigida was a retro goddess who never quite hit international stardom the way her competitors Sophia Loren or Brigitte Bardot, but she certainly gave them a run for their money with her voluptuous figure. #TBT to Gina's Lollos!
She was nicknamed The Mona Lisa of the 20th Century for her gorgeous figure and face. She was only 5'2" and still managed to come in third place in the Miss Italy competition in 1947. She started acting around the same time, appearing in Italian and French films like Les Belles de Nuit.
Gina was wooed by several gentlemen like Howard Hawkes, but she was always saying no to them. While this may have hurt her career, Gina still left behind several gems like Death Laid an Egg where we saw her huevos in her bra and her lovely lace panties.
Before that she floored Hollywood with her role as Sheba in Solomon and Sheba which featured Gina in a hot bra top that gave us a lot of cleavage and sexy midriff. Even though she's super short, Gina's womanly figure makes her seem six feet tall. Perhaps it is the confidence she exudes in every movement she made onscreen, but we could never take our eyes off Gina.
Sadly, Gina hasn't acted since 1997 when she was in XXL. She is now retired and lives in Rome where she allegedly no longer allows visitors into her home. She lives out her last days reclusively, a far cry from when she was once hounded by paparazzi and suitors.
She toldPARADEin April 2000: "I've had many lovers and still have romances. I am very spoiled. All my life, I've had too many admirers." We've been a lifelong admirer of Gina and wouldhave killed to be one of her many romances. #TBT to Gina's ta-ta's and heavenly hips!
