Our Staff Picks column takes you back to a time when video stores reigned supreme and the "Staff Picks" section was the place to find out what films were worthy of one's time. Of course, our version of Staff Picks has a decidedly skintillating angle, as we suss out which films from a particular subgenre are the best to find great nudity. This week let's check out sexy sequels!
Sequels always have a lot to live up to - especially in the nudity department. I find that in general if the original had a lot of nudity, the sequel seems like it cleans things up a bit. Well, not these sequels! These sequels are worth watching AND they have hot scenes. How's that for a 2-for-1 Staff Picks?
The Matrix Reloaded
The Matrix was a true phenomenon. This 1999 sci-fi film totally changed the game with its slowed-down fight scenes, red-pills, spoon-bending, and black leather dusters. It had a huge hold on modern society which is why its much-anticipated sequel had a lot to live up to. Luckily, its actresses gave us a lot to look at.
Carrie-Anne Moss's Matrix booty is seen near the beginning of the film when she and Neo make love. Between Carrie-Anne's can and Monica Bellucci's big heaving cleavage, The Matrix Reloaded had people unloading.
Psycho II
Psycho is a classic, but its sequel that was made over two decades later does not get the same amount of love. The sequel does not have the Alfred Hitchcock stamp of approval on it (he was dead, after all), so it was free to be as smutty as it wanted to be. Anthony Perkins returned to play Norman Bates who has us 'bating to Meg Tilly's nude body in the shower.
This 1983 sequel was able to show us a lot more skin than the 1960 original. That being said, Meg Tilly did use a body double when she played Mary Loomis taking a steamy shower as Norman spies on her. Typical Norman!
Final Destination 2
The Final Destination films are FUN. I stand by that! They have some of the most terrifying deaths in horror film history - the tanning bed, the truck, the roller coaster! Plus, they do offer little snippets of skin here and there. In the 2003 sequel to the original hit, Odessa Munroe plays a biker babe who bares boobs from the backseat. She lifts her top and flashes the other highway drivers. Talk about hot headlights!
Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior
Mad Max introduced us to a wild new post-apocalyptic world that took the sci-fi world by storm. The 1981 sequel kept that excitement going with hot actresses in the desert revealing their Thunderdomes. The babes fight and show fun bags while Kathleen Mckay gets her clothes torn off of her to show her yabos.
We also get to see Anne Jones' back burger when she is on top of her man having some serious sexy dystopian sex. This is a great shot of Anne Jones' vag and booty from behind before their desert rendezvous gets interrupted.
Pet Sematary II
Mary Lambert directed this sequel that we actually briefly touched on just last week in our Female Filmmakers blog. This follow-up to the horror classic based on Stephen King's novel brings our pets back from the dead yet again. This 1992 flick is not as beloved as the original, but it still offers chills and thrills.
Darlanne Fluegel plays Renee Hallow and uses a body double to show off her big bazongas in blue lighting. This will not leave your balls blue!
Russian Dolls
Let's go abroad for some foreign sequel sexiness. This 2005 film from Cedric Klapsich is a follow-up to the wildly popular film The Spanish Apartment which was a smash hit with Europe's youth due to its multi-cultural cast, production team, and due to its sexy comedy.
The film took place in Barcelona where a group of college students from all over the place - France, England, Italy, Denmark, Germany - live together in a house. They get an education from school...and from each other. Aw, how sweet.
So that was the original plot. This follow-up takes place five years after their fateful time together. They've come back together for a little reunion and see what things have changed what has stayed the same. The clothes don't stay on either! Kelly Reilly reprises her role and shows her breasts in bed.
Audrey Tatou stars once again as the leading man's persnickety French girlfriend, but her clothes don't come off. Leave that distinction to other babes like Spaniard Irene Montala who runs naked through the streets to show her TAB!
Anne Steffens, Cecile de France, Isabelle Joly, and Aissa Maiga all also go nude to round out this hot barenaked cast of babes. Yes, it's a foreign film, but you barely need to turn the subtitles on to enjoy these tits. Consider this film cultural immersion and get yourself educated!
Lethal Weapon 2
This 1989 sequel saw the return of comedic partners Mel Gibson and Danny Glover in yet another buddy cop movie. They are assigned to protect the star witness in a drug-smuggling trial, but we are focused on the movie's starlet smuggling her bosom under her blouse.
