Today is Halloween, so let's have a treat for trick-or-treat by discussing the totally necessary nudity in a spooky cult classic. Let's look at why the nudity in the little-known film Frankenhooker was necessary! The nudity in this film was boner-chillingly hot.
This cult classic from Frank Henelotter was released in 1990 for those of us who love horror and hotness. The plot follows a guy who dropped out of medical school, appropriately named Jeffrey Franken. The not-quite-a-doctor Franken spends his time hanging out in the red-light district to look for sex workers. He isn't just horny, however. He has a unique mission: to stitch together body parts from these hot babes in order to put his decapitated girlfriend's head (which is somehow still being kept alive) on top of a properly sexy body.
He lures sex workers using a new invention that he calls "supercrack" and he meets a lot of topless ladies like Heather Hunter, Kimberly Taylor, Vicki Darnell, and Jennifer Delora who both ditch their digs to have a super sexy time on supercrack. They even have an orgy in a hotel room! That's how you know that stuff must be good.
Why was nudity necessary for this film? There are two clear reasons that I can come up with. The first is that the characters in this film are mostly hookers, so it only makes sense that all of the women who play sex workers would go nude and show us how they work it (literally because they are at work where nudity is a required uniform).
The second reason that nudity is necessary is that we need to see what the hot body of the titular Frankenhooker looks like. We do see that scene when she makes love to a man, but it does not go well. It goes well for us, the viewer, who gets to view her naked body in all of its Frankensteined hotness. All of those different parts sure do look good sewen together like that.
Patty Mullen plays the TITular character and she looks good despite being a resurrected corpse made up of different body parts. I honestly think that the makeup department did a great job making this hot babe look like she was really sewn together out of the body parts of other women. Where's the award for wardrobe and special effects for Frankenhooker?! One thing I will say, however, is that Patty's big nipples and round mounds are definitely all hers. You can't convince me those belong to anyone but Patty!
She's sexy, but she is the monster of the movie and I would consider this sex scene the moment in which we "see" the monster. The nudity is necessary here because she is literally a Frankenstein hooker. It would be wrong not to see what that looks like!
