Four and a half years after the single greatest moment in television skinstory, a federal court has at last thrown out the FCC’s $550,000 fine against CBS over Janet Jackson’s famous nip slip at the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show.
This decision may well herald in a new Golden Age of Skin for the major networks. Now maybe American TV can return to the course it set on February 25th, 2003, when NYPD Blue star Amy Brenneman showed off her mouth-watering rump roast.
Five years later, evidently in line with the thinking of the ancient Greeks and John “Buttman” Stagliano, the FCC insisted over the protests of ABC execs that the ass is a sexual organ and fined ABC a total of $1,402,500 over the butt baring.
