Lumi Cavazos burns like a hot chili pepper in the tasty Mexican food-sex drama Like Water for Chocolate (1992). It comes as no surprise that this fiery, beautiful and exceptionally talented babe's star has been on a steady rise ever since. Thankfully for the rest of the world, Lumi hasn't limited herself to productions south of the border but does let the camera go south of her border. She plays a hotel maid who makes bed with Luke Wilson in Bottle Rocket (1996). Lumi's since gone on to appear in such American productions as Land of Milk and Honey (1996), Sugar Town (1999) and Bless the Child (2000). Although her talents are often wasted on the prototypical token-Latin-lovely role that pervades Hollywood films, she's definitely an A-list star in her native land. Take, for instance, her leading part in Optical Fiber (1998). Not only does the lovely Lumi exude tons of talent, showing off her aforementioned acting abilities in all their grandeur, but she also bares her bodacious body. There are a few decent looks at her heaving hooters and even a brief glimpse at some pubitude. Unfortunately, the film's lighting guy must have called in sick that particular day because it's pretty hard to see--but, oh, when seen, it's pretty, and guess what's hard? It's definitely worth giving a squint! Just wish the scene was better Lumi-nated.
