Welcome to my new short series called Hippie Hotties where I plan to talk about a hippie-era movie that stretched the limits of free love and sex by showing off some sexy nudes on the big screen. This era of experimentation led to some pretty far-out films, so let's take a look!

Today's Hippie Hotties film is a free-spirited private eye flick! Marlowe is sort of the hippie answer to James Bond. Is it explicitly hippie? Well, no, but the fashion and the music fits into this 1969 flick about a Los Angeles private eye named Marlowe who is hired to find a woman's missing brother. Seems simple enough right? Wrong! As usual with these kinds of films, the mystery is so much deeper than what is on the surface. Plus, thanks to sixties aesthetics, it looks cool as well.

Marlowe is truly enjoyable to watch. Who doesn't love a vibrant, colorful private eye movie that also features a strip tease? It's a fun piece of trivia to pull out next time you're at a dinner part and someone starts talking about Rita Moreno - you know, how that happens!
