It is actress Julie Newmar's birthday and you might be surprised and delighted to hear that she is still alive and well. The tall, sexy actress turns 88-years-old today, but she will forever be cemented as a hot young woman in our minds. So let's say a very happy birthday to Julie Newmar!
She was purrfect as Catwoman in the TV series Batman in 1966 where she had all of Gotham - and the world - watching her in a skintight catsuit. Julie wound up acting a lot on Broadway, but she also did television and films after her stint as a supervillain that captivated living rooms across America. She followed up her Batman work with two nude scenes in the 1969 film Mackenna's Gold. Her bare breasts and buns were worth their weight in gold, that's for sure.
You probably remember her hot skinny-dipping scene in Mackenna's Gold. She dove under the deep blue water and let us get a good look at her buns as well as her long legs. There is even a shot of one of her big, full breasts swimming across the camera. When she came up for air, her nipples were visible through her wet hair.
Before she did Mackenna's Gold, she starred in a big-budget comedy called Monsieur Lecoq in 1967. Lecoq means "the rooster" in French, but this ill-fated film gave us a lot to crow about.
