Lively Gets Lovey
We were tricked into thinking that we would see Blake Lively nude in The Private Lives of Pippa Lee. And technically she was nude. Unfortunately everything but naked hip and shoulder was hidden by the far less appealing body of Alan Arkin.
So will we be presented with the same grim fate come September when The Town, Blake's Ben Affleck-directed project, hits theaters? Lively herself says the movie will feature the hot Gossip Girl blonde in a sex scene, but will anything be seen?
Lively told Esquire:
I have a sex scene in this film, and that's never comfortable. You think, Oh, that's going to be so awkward. But this scene isn't supposed to be a steamy one it's sort of tragic, because this girl is so desperately trying to keep this man interested. It's more intimate than most sex scenes. I'm pretty much crying in it.
You're worried about all the awkward things, but then I talked to Jeremy Renner about it he plays my brother and he just said it's all in the eyes. The rest of it will come.
If you ask us, the eyes aren't really the body part you should be focusing on, Blake.
A tragic, tear-filled sex scene doesn't sound all that promising, but think about Mischa Barton crying while completely nude in Closing the Ring. Just like Blake, she was the star of a hugely popular teen-centered TV show. Also just like Blake, she tried to break out into a film career by working with respected filmmakers. Will Blake follow in Mischa's footsteps and go nude for The Town? We'll just have to wait until September to find out.
