Yako – Der einsame Rächer (1986) is truly an oddity of trash cinema: a Mexican film with a German title that rips off the Rambo formula and adds loads of sex to its intense action. The story follows a couple that goes out camping in the solitude of the woods. Little do they know that these woods are also the habitat of a criminal gang. The gang kidnaps the girl, and our hero is out for blood. But he isn’t fast enough to save her life from the criminals, and as a result his bloodlust is pushed beyond its limits. He plants sneak attacks and uses an arsenal of weapons to fulfill his vendetta against the wrongdoers.
