I saw Poor Things and I bring you all skintastic news: Emma Stone is nude in this film. SO nude. Like she deserves some kind of Olympic medal for the various positions she is naked in in this film. I cannot wait for you all to see it, but since I went to an early screening at the Savannah Film Festival over a week ago, I get to give you some insight on what you can prepare for. I just can't keep it to myself!

Emma previously went nude in another Yorgos Lanthimos film. That was her very first nude scene! She showed a boob - ONE boob - in The Favourite. I really thought she would be a One Boob Wonder, especially when I saw interviews in which she said that Olivia Colman warned her against doing nudity. That's Olivia Colman who was previously in a nudist comedy! Olivia began her career with nudity, but Emma didn't. And it seems like - almost as if she is living in a Yorgos Lanthimos film - she got a taste for nudity and she wanted more.

I also want to point out, in a semi-unrelated way, that she is about to star in The Curse on Showtime which is a dark meta-comedy co-starring twisted geniuses Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie. That is quite the team. I think between this project and Poor Things, it is obvious that Emma is stepping into a new era. She wants to show off her darker side, her humor, her intelligence, and - best of all - her body. I welcome Emma Stone's new era!

This is her third project with Lanthimos and it is very obvious that she trusts him. Yorgos himself is no a stranger to directing nudity. Far from it! His early films contain a great deal of it.

So what are you about to see in Poor Things? I am not exaggerating at all when I say that it is a lot. I knew that she went nude in the film, but even I didn't realize HOW nude. For example, at one point in the film, she becomes a sex worker in a Parisian brothel.

We see her have sex with a lot of different men - and women - and we even see a montage where Emma shows off her work in a variety of positions. At one point, she stands nude with a ball gag in her mouth as a man admires her. Stuff like that.

From scenes where Emma drops her trousers and walks around with her bush out, to masturbating on a piece of fruit (you don't see anything, but she does seem to really enjoy it), to loving sex so much that she wants to instantly do it again and again, to whoring her way through Paris, Emma Stone's character Bella Baxter goes on quite the journey.

The movie is visually stunning and that is definitely due in part to Emma's gorgeous figure on camera. I highly recommend this movie for all lovers of nudity. You will not be disappointed. I submit that Emma's nudity in this movie is the best of the year. I hope we nominate her for an Anatomy Award!
