We Have Always Lived in the Castle (2019)

Living in a castle isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. You know what we mean if you’ve seen the chiller diller thrillers Castle of Blood (1964), Blood Castle (1970), The Legend of Blood Castle (1973), Dr. Frankenstein’s Castle of Freaks (1974), Lurid Tales: The Castle Queen (1995), The Man in the High Castle (2015-2019), and Castle Freak (2020). Of course, Mr. Skin would be remiss not to include We Have Always Lived in the Castle (2018) on this list. Based on the same-named Shirley Jackson novel from 1962, this flick is about the twisted and mysterious Blackwood family. Two sisters — Mary Katherine “Merricat” (Taissa Farmiga) and Constance (Alexandra Daddario) — live together with their ailing uncle (Crispin Glover) as semi-recluses. After being acquitted of poisoning her parents, Constance feels further stress when her estranged cousin Charles (Sebastian Stan) comes to stay with them at the castle. One thing leads to another and the next thing you know, both of the siblings’ dark secrets are discovered as one sis turns on the other. Speaking of turn ons, check out the fab figure on Ms. Daddario. As always, the shapely babe adds an extra something special to the productions she’s in. And this movie is no exception — especially when the dark-haired hottie dons a low-cut nightie in bed. As she lays on her side, we are treated to a great view of her deep cleavage. Suffice it to say, we would love to live in the space between Alexandra’s chest castles!
