Born in Mexico City, the vivacious Valerie started studying ballet, jazz, fencing, singing, acting, and stage management at the age of six .She joined her first musical group at age 11, which led to the recording of her first album and its singles "Decido Yo" and "Te Amo”. By 2001, Valerie had begun acting professionally and became part of the musical group B.A.S.E., while also writing the theme music for the Televisa CLAP soap opera, El lugar de tus Sueños in 2003. She then ended up garnering acclaim as a stage actress and director, starting with the role of Anybodys (or X) in West Side Story (known in Spanish as Amor sin Barreras), and productions of Chicas Católicas (2007), Avenue Q (2008), Show Roxana Castellanos, 7 Mujeres (2011), Ni princesas Ni esclavas (2011) and Divorciadas (2011), just to name a few. Valerie made her big screen debut in 2008’s Case divas, while other notable films that followed include Macho (2016) and XV Primaveras (2023). After lading recurring roles on the series El Señor de los Cielos (2017), Hoy voy a cambiar (2017), and Betty en NY (2019), Valerie nabbed a starring role in the Netflix action comedy Queens on the Run. As one of four ladies whose road trip toward rediscovery goes awry, Valeria delivers some of the best skin of the film when she flashes another car and then has to cover up with her hands when they get pulled over.
