The Widow (2020)

The Russian horror fantasy flick Vdova (2020), or The Widow, concerns an urban legend about a heavily forested area north of the port city of Leningrad. People will mysteriously turn up naked and dead in these woods, with no apparent signs of a traumatic death to be found, leading to a folklore rising up around these mysterious deaths. This found footage flick concerns a team of investigators traveling to a small town north of Leningrad, formerly St. Petersburg, on the outskirts of the woods in search of a young boy named Nikita who went missing several days earlier. Armed with state of the art surveillance equipment, they set off into the woods where the locals have warned them of an ancient threat residing therein known as Kroma Vdova, or The Limping Widow! It is said that anyone who comes into contact with this ancient being will meet with instant death, but the legend is flawed at best. It turns out, one is not met with an instant death, but rather a slow, torturous, psychological death because—as the group have come to realize—they've already met Kroma Vdova before they ever set foot in the woods. Death is coming for them all now! As to the victims being found naked, two dudes stumble upon a cell phone video of a completely nude Margarita Bychkova performing a ritual in the woods! Unfortunately, it's a nighttime video, but thankfully she soon lights a bonfire that nicely illuminates all three of her beautiful Bs! Hey Margarita, thanks for the look at this Widow's peaks!
